1. Egg Decorating Contest

Egg Decorating Contest

This is an easy activity to set up that gives everyone the opportunity to bring out their inner Picasso. Give each family member a boiled egg or plastic egg and some art supplies (such as markers, stickers, and glitter), and have them decorate to the best of their abilities. The winner is the person with the most creative and colourful egg!

Tip: If you opt for plastic eggs, you can use them as Easter decorations for years to come.

2. Bunny Hop Relay

Bunny Hop Relay

You may be a seasoned runner, but how good are your hopping skills? Divide the family into teams and have each team line up. The first person in each line puts on a pair of bunny ears and hops to the other side of the room or yard and back, before passing the ears to the next person in line. The first team to complete the relay wins. If you don’t have any bags or sacks to put around your feet and legs, tie some rope around both legs so that the hopping remains ‘hare’ and square.

3. Mini Egg Guessing Game

Mini Egg Guessing Game

You’ve probably guessed how to play from the title, but we’ll tell you anyway. Fill a jar with mini Easter eggs and have each family member guess how many there are. The closest guess wins the jar with all the chocolate treats that come with it. If you want to make the game more difficult but the prize sweeter, add some jelly beans to the jar.

4. Egg Hunt Card Game

Egg Hunt Card Game

Shuffle a deck of cards and deal them out evenly to each player. Each player should keep their cards in a face-down pile in front of them. To start, the first player draws a card from the top of their pile and places it face-up in the centre of the table. The next player then draws a card from their pile and tries to match it with the card in the centre. If they can’t make a match, they place their card face-up in the centre, and the next player takes a turn while the previous player takes their card back.

If a player makes a match, they take both cards and add them to their own pile before the next player takes their turn. The game continues until all sets of cards have been collected. The player with the most sets at the end of the game wins.

5. Easter Egg Roll

Easter Egg Roll

Mark a starting line and a finish line in your yard. Each family member must take a turn to roll a boiled or plastic egg along the grass, trying to get it as close to the finish line as possible. The person with the egg closest to the finish line wins.

6. Easter Egg Golf

Easter Egg Golf

Much to your neighbour’s delight, there will be no golf balls involved in this Easter game. Set up a mini course in your yard using rope for the boundaries and cups for the holes. If you’re up for the challenge, place a few obstacles along the way too. Instead of pulling out your driver, you’ll use your hand to roll a plastic egg or boiled egg in the hopes of getting it in the cup with as few roles as possible.

7. Easter Memory Game

Easter Memory Game

Place various Easter chocolates and items side-by-side on a table and cover them with a blanket. Each player should get a turn to view the uncovered goods for 5 seconds before writing down what they saw, and in which order they were placed. You can even have 3 difficulty levels, increasing the number of items on the table for each level. The person with the most accurate list wins the game!

8. Easter Egg Hunt
