How To Clean A Leather Couch With Water And Vinegar

What You’ll Need:

  • A bowl
  • Water and vinegar
  • A vacuum cleaner
  • Two soft cloths

Follow the 5 easy steps listed below to restore a brand new look and feel to your couch with vinegar and water:

  1. Use a vacuum cleaner to remove any dust, dirt, or crumbs from your couch. Don’t forget to remove the cushions and get rid of the dirty bits underneath.
  2. Put equal parts of water and vinegar in a bowl to create a cleaning solution.
  3. Mix the solution thoroughly and soak a soft, clean cloth into it. 

NB – wring out the cloth so that it is not wet, but rather damp.

  1. Start by wiping any particularly dirty areas of the couch, making sure all evident stains and spots are removed. Finish by wiping over the entire surface area of the couch. 

NB – use small circular motions to wipe the dirtier areas instead of tough pressure applied moving back and forth, as this could damage the couch.

  2. Mix a small amount of dishwashing liquid with warm water in a bowl. 
  3. Soak a soft, clean cloth in the solution before wringing it out.

  3. Once you’ve wiped away all of the cleaning product, spray or apply a small amount of conditioner onto a different cloth (not directly onto the couch).
