On Saturday, 15 August 2020, President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that we will be moving to alert level 2 of the lockdown period. Which is great news for us South Africans as it means that we’ve been making some progress in our efforts to flatten the curve and stay safe during this global pandemic. The number of active cases is decreasing as well as the number of new cases, resulting in lesser restrictions for us all.
We, as South Africans are taking strides against the fight of COVID-19 and it is time to restore our livelihoods and the economy. However, with lesser restrictions comes greater responsibility, meaning that we still need to be extra cautious and ensure we continue to follow the necessary measures to keep safe. For us, at SweepSouth, our customer and SweepStars’ safety is of utmost importance to us and to ensure we follow through, we have measures in place to make sure bookings that take place, are safe for both our customers and Sweepstars. The following safety measures are in place to ensure a safe experience for all bookings:
- All SweepStars must confirm that they are symptom-free before accepting a booking
- All SweepStars have passed a sanitisation cleaning and products course.
- SweepStars and customers must wear masks at all times during a booking. Customers also have the option to step out of the house if they feel more comfortable in doing so.
- Clients must declare that their homes are free of any symptoms.
- We urge clients to schedule a booking with a later start time to allow SweepStars to travel out of peak times. We also encourage customers to have the availability of hand sanitiser during your booking.
With these measures in place, we have reassured so many customers in the safety of booking a home clean with us. As a result, we have made over 14,500 customers happy with over 38 000 bookings taking place during the alert level 3 period of the lockdown.
